2011年IC市場哪些最熱？哪些前景不容樂觀？根據市場研究機構IC Insights的報告，2011年數據轉換器(data conversion)、汽車特殊應用模擬IC、微處理器(MPU)等IC市場前景看好，但門陣列(gate arrays)組件、只讀存儲器(ROM)等IC市場的成長性則不佳。 IC Insights總裁Bill McClean對之前針對產業前景所發表的IC預測進行了修改(IC Insights：2011年IC產業五項預測 )。 報告顯示，2011年各IC產品類別市場中，成長率(市場銷售規模)預期可超過整體IC市場(預估為10%)的，包括數據轉換IC(15%)、汽車特殊應用模擬IC(14%)、微處理器(14%)、汽車特殊應用邏輯片/微處理外圍組件(Micro Peripheral，MPR，13%)、可程序化邏輯組件(PLD，13%)、微控制器(MCU，13%)、閃存(12%)、消費性電子特殊應用邏輯/微處理外圍組件(12%)、穩壓器/電壓參考IC(11%)、標準單元電路組件(standard cell，11%)。 
至于2011年成長率可能為負值的IC產品類別市場，則包括只讀存儲器(-4%)、可抹除可編成只讀存儲器(EPROM，-6%)、門陣列組件(-10%)。 下面是部分組件的增長預測列表：
