Summary of Post: • Key role to oversee and manage program delivery from the Touch Application Teams in several global locations; • Strongly customer focused role overseeing developments from concept to completion for a number of Tier1 and Tier2 customers; • To drive operational excellence on commissioned programs, and also work alongside Marketing on pre-commissioned initiatives to propose new opportunities; • Build and maintain a solid relationship with designated customers’ program teams and management, managing expectations and commitments at all times; • Maintaining highest levels of customer satisfaction with regard to program execution; • Ensure management support at all times through appropriate and timely reporting; Duties: • On a ‘day to day’ basis manage the customer program objectives (requirements, milestones and deliverables); • Ensure deliverables from all domains and sites are delivered to customers on time, and all reviews and acceptance indicators are met; • Direct Application Team resources and coordinate second line support (R&D/UK and SoC/Norway), managing one roof activities as needed; • Negotiate and secure engineering skills and resources from the engineering managers • Take part in the weekly resourcing reviews to represent priority of designated customers; • Regular customer visits to present schedule and status and conduct interactive project reviews; • Read customers demands and satisfaction level and bring into organisation • Consider customers feedback on road mapping alongside Marketing and identify new opportunities (scope project and present to management for sanction); • Manage customer change requests to the mutual benefit of customer and own organisation; • Regular and structured reporting to management covering projects status, concerns, and up to date business indicators (ramp dates and profiles, ROI); • Understand sufficient technical details about each project to make good management decisions in conjunction with Engineering Managers; • Acquire knowledge of relevant Touch products and their applications; • Prepared to travel extensively in support of achieving goals including identifying new opportunities. Position/Skill Requirements: • Previous track record of Customer focussed Program and Project Management; • Pragmatic, fair and firm manner dealing with Application Teams and able to motivate and guide; • Excellent manner with customers; • Hi-tech fast paced development background (preferably in mobile applications); • Significant evidence of customer interaction and success. Preferred Skills: • Formal PM training; • Previous hands-on development background. Education: • Preferably a high achievement degree in Electronics, Computer Science or possibly Physics Min. years of experience required; • A minimum of eight years of job related experience including 3+ years in managing customer projects and 6 + years in the engineering discipline in industry. |
