The ADSP-21371/ADSP-21375 SHARC® processors are members of the SIMD SHARC family of DSPs that feature Analog Devices’ Super Harvard Architecture. The processors are source code compatible with the ADSP-2126x, ADSP-2136x, and ADSP-2116x DSPs, as well as with first generation ADSP-2106x SHARC processors in SISD (single-instruction, single-data) mode. The processors are 32-bit/40-bit floating-point processors optimized for high performance automotive audio applications with their large on-chip SRAM and mask-programmable ROM, multiple internal buses to eliminate I/O bottlenecks, and an innovative digital applications interface (DAI).

The processors use two computational units to deliver a significant performance increase over the previous SHARC processors on a range of DSP algorithms. Fabricated in a state-of-the-art, high speed, CMOS process, the processors achieve an instruction cycle time of 3.75 ns at 266 MHz. With its SIMD computational hardware, the processors can perform 1.596 GFLOPS running at 266 MHz.

ADSP-21371—8 dual data line serial ports that operate at up to 50 Mbps on each data line — each has a clock, frame sync, and two data lines that can be configured as either a receiver or transmitter pair

16 PWM outputs configured as four groups of four outputs

ROM-based security features include

JTAG access to memory permitted with a 64-bit key

Protected memory regions that can be assigned to limit access under program control to sensitive code

PLL has a wide variety of software and hardware multiplier/ divider ratios

Available in a 208-lead LQFP_EP pack

ADSP-21375 EZ-KIT Lite®評(píng)估板

The ADSP-21375 EZ-KIT Lite® provides developers with a cost-effective method for initial evaluation of the ADSP-2137x SHARC® Processors via a USB-based, PC-hosted tool set. With this EZ-KIT Lite, users can learn more about the Analog Devices (ADI) ADSP-2137x hardware and software development tools, and quickly prototype a wide range of applications.

The EZ-KIT Lite includes an ADSP-21375 SHARC Processor desktop evaluation board along with an evaluation suite of the VisualDSP++® development and debugging environment, including the C/C++ compiler, assembler, and linker. The evaluation suite of VisualDSP++ is designed to be used with the EZ-KIT Lite only.

The EZ-KIT Lite, in addition to the high performing SHARC Processor itself, includes additional components to support evaluation. Flash memories, SDRAM, an RS-232 UART connection, a high end AD1835 multichannel audio codec with RCA connectors, push-buttons, and LEDs are included.

Debug connectivity between the EZ-KIT Lite and the host PC is realized with an on-board USB debug agent connection. The capability of the EZ-KIT Lite can be further extended with add-on extender cards from ADI. For example, the USB EZ-Extender® can be used to add USB 2.0 client functionality to your application.

Additionally, the ADSP-21375 EZ-KIT Lite contains the National Instruments (NI) Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (ELVIS) interface. This interface allows use of the dc voltage and current measurement modules, oscilloscope and bode analyzer modules, function generators, arbitrary waveform generators, and digital I/O. NI ELVIS is a LabVIEWTM-based design and prototype environment for university science and engineering laboratories’ curricula.
