Mechanical Enginee

Report to:  Staff Mechanical Engineer

Purpose of the Job:

- Intermediate level mechanical engineering position in product development team responsible for creating high value UPS solutions for customers worldwide. - Cooperation with ID engineer to fix the ID feasibility. - Perform the design of sheetmetal and plastic enclosures, subassemblies, and piece parts including packaging foam and cartons.  And verify the design. - Select mechanical components and sources, design product labels and product marking artworks, produce specification drawings.   - Participate in new tooling parts qualification and parts maintenance follow up.

Regular Responsibilities:

• Qualify, document and establish supply of new mechanical components and subsystems. • Produce mechanical part specifications for sheetmetal and plastic enclosure parts; packaging foam and carton parts. • Produce mechanical  outline drawings and artwork for labels and other product markings. • Plan and support tooling phase of development. • Quality new fabricated parts. • Assist primary vendor qualification. • Support product development team to release product to manufacturing and meet quality volume goals.

Qualifications:

• BSME or equivalent degree or training

• 3 yrs relevant experience

Knowledge and Skill Required:

• PC based CAD proficiency; AutoCad experience required, ProEngineer and/or Solidworks experience preferred. • Be familiar with the stemping, injection and packaging technics. • Intermediate level of English communication skill both on oral and written. • Molder, stamper, tooler vendor communication as required.

Program Manager

Report to: Direct report to France, functional report to China MGE R&D Manager

Summary of the Job:

The Program Manager will lead a cross-functional team to deliver 3-Phase products for customers worldwide. The Program Manager will also participate in new product definitions and program plans. The development team is primarily based in Shanghai. Programs typical involve participants from other APC-MGE design centers in e.g. France, USA & China and manufacturing teams in Philippines, China and India. Understanding and respect of other cultures are therefore essential for success in the job.

Regular Responsibilities:

• Manage programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process and into a finished state for internal or external customers • Work with management to have program staffed appropriately • Create and own program plan (schedule, resources) to meet program expectations, ensure quality on time delivery • Contribute in creating the product definition • Coordination with project managers who will lead programs that are sub-programs essential to completion of the core program • Report status of program activity to all stakeholders (e.g. management, support functions) • Responsible for program metrics • Interface with cross-functional teams and corporate to continuously improve the New Product Development processes • Periodic national and international travel is required.

Purpose of the Job:

Design,develop and maintain the firmware in UPS system

Regular Responsibilities:

1). Involve in UPS firmware requirements analysis, concept design

2). Take charge of UPS embedded system (signal electronics and software) designing, development, testing and debugging and maintaining, according to project task assignment

3). Take charge of Firmware documentation according to DCC requirements

Qualifications:

(Sr.) Firmware Engineer (Regulation)

Purpose of the Job:

Work with teams for the UPS products better efficiency, reliability and performance via topologies & device selection and control arithmetic design.

Regular Responsibilities:

? • Review of the marketing specification, industry standards and development of product requirements.? • Evaluation/design of new power converter/ inverter topologies for better efficiency, power density, cost, and reliability.? • Implement and verify control arithmetic for system performance, stabilization and efficiency.? • Develop documentation of design, calculations, modeling, analysis, and control algorithm development.? • Develop work instructions and procedures for use in the field for design validation and performance evaluation.? • Communicate with power electronic team on technical issues and solutions.? • Support any failure root cause analysis on the existing UPS systems and recommend cost effective corrective actions. This may include recommending new power circuit designs and control algorithm developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree of power related of  University • More than 3 years design experience on embedded system design. • Good Command of English • Good MS Office Skill • Good ability to understand  and appreciate  cross culture? • Technical competence and a track record of strong coding and individual technical accomplishments.? • Experience with integration of hardware and software, including debugging software-hardware interaction and the development of hardware device drivers.? • Excellent software troubleshooting experience and hardware debug skills.? • Experience with hardware bring-up and use of basic test equipment desirable.? • Experience with C development in resource-constrained embedded environments.

Sr. Firmware Engineer (FPGA)

Purpose of the Job:

Design,develop and maintain the firmware in UPS system

Regular Responsibilities:

• Be technical expert for hardware group. • Overall hardware architecture and hardware development process. • Lead team and take responsible for developing new hardware designs, including FPGA. • Overall hardware team technical development and coach team members.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years hardware design or FPGA coding experience by using VHDL • Minimum of 6 years industry experience with a background in board-level digital/analog circuit design. • Rich experience with Xilinx or Active HDL design and verification flow. • Experience using chipScope. • Rich experience with static timing using Xilinx UCF • Setting up high speed SERDES cores. • Rich experience with a background in board-level digital/analog circuit design • Rich experience in C/C++ for embedded electronics. • Experience with Matlab/Simulink tools. • Must have lab experience using scopes, logic analyzers, etc. • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Platform Engineer - PDU

SUMMARY OF JOB:

Owner for Rack/PDU Product, response for overall technical/Quality issues from NPI, manufacturing, and marketing. final approver for any product Engineering change. Resolving any issues raised by service engineer from field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1). Participate in the investigation and resolution of issues that negatively affect the quality, performance, and reliability of Rack/PDU product in a manufacturing environment from a mechanical and electrical standpoint.

2). Responsible to support manufacturing and the field through corrective action to improve product design and/or reduce product and production costs.

3). Review factory DPU for better tracking production quality

4). Facing customer for field issues, sum the defects in fields, and complete/review the final quality report for field defects

5). Training service engineer to deal with the technical issues happened in Customer side

6), Final approver for any engineering change requested by other funtion

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

1). Modify product design to improving quality by working with Design engineer

2). Train factory person for product debug

3). Improve the test method by existing test equipments

4). Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:

1). 5+ years experience in design and support of Electric/Electronic product or related fields, or an Associate’s degree in Technology/Applied Science and at least 1 to 2 years

2). 2+ years service working experience in Electric Power Product Manufacturer.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:

1). Strongly Understanding of Electrical/Electronic Power & Power Switch product principles.

2). Strongly knowledge on Electric/Electronic Components

3). Expert using FMEA to resolving product issue; Strong 7-step skills

4). Cp/CPK 6Sigma tools application on electronic / electrical products

5). Strongly ability on electric/electronic schemetic analysis

6). Familiar with Electrical/Electronic Power & Power Switch product test spec

7). Strongly knowledge of Power product quality concept

8). Familiar with regulator compliance approval requirement for power product

9). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Rack Engineer

Summary of the Job:

Actively participate as key team member on NPD Team designing Rack System products and/or Accessories for Data Center Environments, over-seeing cost reduction projects, and qualifying sourced products per Marketing and Sales plans.

Regular Responsibilities:

• Develop design documentation, including engineering drawings and Bills Of Materials for the release of mechanical assemblies, sub assemblies and components including sheet metal, plastics, and accessaries for Rack System. • Use Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Database Management tools for product development. • Build and test prototype and qualification level assemblies. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and logistical issues. • Support aggressive product development schedules • Interface with tooling engineers to develop custom fabricated parts. • Interface with NPD manufacturing engineers to introduce new products to the factory. • Interface with electrical and firmware engineers during design phase. • Work as part of a team. • Work with minimal supervision. • Assist in component selection and qualification for various parts being used on NPD programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, advanced degree preferred • 3+ years experience of Rack/Cabinet design and drafting. • Good communication and technical writing ability in Englsih. • Knowledge of industry trend, advanced process, suppliers and manufacturers. • Demonstrated knowledge of the Solidworks CAE system. • Creative problems-solving and diagnostic/troubleshooting abilities. • Knowledge of Rack System for data center application .

Travel

• Domestic and international travel as needed
