曼尼是《冰河世紀》中性情溫和而穩(wěn)重的長毛象，這種曾經(jīng)稱霸冰河世紀的動物緣何滅絕于世？
猛犸生活在約1萬1千年前，首次出現(xiàn)是480萬年前，約5000年前神秘滅絕，古脊椎動物，哺乳綱，長鼻目，真象科。學名真猛犸象，也稱長毛猛犸象。猛犸是韃靼語“地下居住者”的意思，曾經(jīng)是世界上最大的象。它身高體壯，有粗壯的腿，腳生四趾，頭特別大，在其嘴部長出一對彎曲的大門牙。猛犸象以自己整個種群的滅亡標志了第四紀冰川時代的結束。也有一說是因為人類的屠殺造成了猛犸象的滅絕。

The woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius), also called the tundra mammoth, is an extinct species of mammoth. This animal is known from bones and frozen carcasses from northern North America and northern Eurasia with the best preserved carcasses in Siberia. This mammoth species was first recorded in (possibly 150,000 years old) deposits of the second last glaciation in Eurasia. They were derived from steppe mammoths (Mammuthus trogontherii)
